Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Dimir Zombie combo-control list commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver. It pairs explosive fast mana and tutors with compact infinite win lines and free interaction. The primary game plan accelerates into a game-ending combo by Turn 3, most notably casting Acererak the Archlich infinitely for free through Rooftop Storm to drain the table via the Lost Mine of Phandelver dungeon. Alternatively, the deck can loop Gravecrawler through Phyrexian Altar with drain payoffs like Plague Belcher or The Meathook Massacre, or utilize Poppet Stitcher alongside Wilhelt for infinite sacrifices. Supported by premier card advantage engines such as The One Ring and Rhystic Study, and protected by free countermagic including Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship, the deck easily pivots between aggressive combo races and resilient midgame control. It recovers cleanly through graveyard recursion and functions entirely without its commander when necessary.
