Deck overview

Helmed by Thranduil, the Elvenking, this Sultai deck is an Elf-tribal value build that pairs a go-wide token swarm with a "legendary Elves matter" draw engine. Thranduil turns each of the ten legendary Elves in the 99 - Arwen, Weaver of Hope, Celeborn the Wise, Cirdan the Shipwright, Elrond, Lord of Rivendell, Erestor of the Council, Galadriel, Elven-Queen, Galion, Elvenking's Butler, Haldir, Lorien Lieutenant, Legolas Greenleaf, and Thranduil, Sindarin Liege - into a two-card rumble on entry. His first ability demands a stocked graveyard, letting him inherit the best Elf activated abilities: Elvish Archdruid's tap-for-each-Elf mana, Elvish Piper's creature cheat, and the mass pumps of Elvish Warmaster and Haldir, Lorien Lieutenant. The deck wins primarily through combat - Down in the Valley, Elvish Warmaster, and Dwynen's Elite build the board, then Overwhelming Stampede or Return of the Wildspeaker ends the game, with Poison-Tip Archer providing drain reach and Cirdan the Shipwright generating free permanents and cards.
