Deck overview

This deck is a classic Grixis Wheel strategy commanded by Nekusar, the Mindrazer. The plan accelerates into Nekusar or parallel draw-punishers such as Underworld Dreams, Fate Unraveler, and Razorkin Needlehead, then casts mass-draw and wheel spells to burn the entire table at once. Cards like Windfall, Dark Deal, Whispering Madness, and Teferi's Puzzle Box force opponents to repeatedly cycle their hands, turning their card advantage into lethal damage. Secondary payoffs like Waste Not and Tergrid, God of Fright capitalize on mass discards to generate mana and steal permanents, while Phyresis offers an alternate win by converting draw damage into poison counters. The deck plays at a focused casual power level, utilizing moderate-cost ramp and reactive countermagic to protect its burst turns. Its main constraints are high color requirements, tempo loss from tapped lands, and the risk of handing opponents answers during wheel turns.
