Deck overview

This deck is built entirely around Jon Irenicus, Shattered One's ability to gift detrimental creatures to opponents, forcing them to attack each other while you profit from the card-draw trigger ("Whenever a creature you own but don't control attacks, draw a card"). It leans on a suite of high-power drawbacks such as Desecration Elemental (8/8, sacrifice a creature each time a player casts a spell), Hunted Horror (7/7, trample, gives Centaurs), and Flesh Reaver (4/4, deals itself incidental damage) to create quick clocks. The game plan is to deploy a drawback creature, give it away at end step, let it attack the table under Goad, and reap cards while the opponent takes damage. A small reanimation package ([Animate Dead]], Necromancy, Orise's Spellscry) recovers key bodies, and a few control spells ([No Mercy]], Toxic Deluge+, Deadly Rollick+) provide moderate disruption. The deck wins through incremental combat damage, with Ebonblade Reaper (halving life totals) and occasional infect via Corrupted Conscience as alternative clocks. It is slow, middle-speed, and entirely dependent on Jon's presence on the battlefield.
