Deck overview

This mono-blue stompy deck is commanded by Kenessos, Priest of Thassa, leveraging high-density scry mechanics and library manipulation to cheat colossal Krakens, Leviathans, and Octopuses directly onto the battlefield. The deck ramps during the opening turns, drops Kenessos on Turn 2, and prepares top-deck order with cards like Crystal Ball, Halimar Depths, and Preordain. By Turn 4 or 5, Kenessos activates to deploy massive beaters ahead of curve. Threats like Hullbreaker Horror, Stormtide Leviathan, and Spawning Kraken dismantle opposing boards and generate overwhelming combat pressure. While the deck possesses explosive mid-game power and asymmetric wipes like Whelming Wave, it relies on combat damage over several turns to eliminate the table and remains vulnerable to board wipes when mana is spent on activations rather than countermagic.
