Witherbloom Zookeeper by Theverb

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari lifegain-drain combo deck that uses a wide creature/token board to fuel both the command zone and its win conditions. Witherbloom, the Balancer is a discount engine rather than a required combo piece: affinity for creatures makes the Elder Dragon cheap once a board is established, and every instant/sorcery thereafter also gets cheaper. The primary wins are the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond-style infinite drain loop - with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, Starscape Cleric, Enduring Tenacity, and Bloodthirsty Conqueror serving as redundant halves - and the Chatterfang, Squirrel General + Pitiless Plunderer + Ashnod's Altar engine that feeds Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Mirkwood Bats. Token producers like Avenger of Zendikar, Tendershoot Dryad, and Scute Swarm provide board presence and affinity fuel before the deck pivots to a tutor-assisted two-card kill.
