Deck overview

Tannuk, Memorial Ensign commands a proactive Gruul landfall deck designed to turn rapid land deployment into direct table burn, card advantage, and wide board states. The early game focuses on deploying 1-2 CMC ramp and establishing Tannuk on Turn 3. Once assembled, the deck leverages fetchlands and spells like Harrow and Roiling Regrowth to consistently hit two landfall triggers per turn, pinging each opponent for 2 damage and drawing a fresh card. In the mid-to-late game, the strategy compounds through redundant burn creatures (Spitfire Lagac, Tunneling Geopede) and token generators (Zendikar's Roil, Chocobo Racetrack). Explosive turns powered by Aftermath Analyst or Pull Through the Weft return multiple lands from the graveyard at once, triggering massive waves of burn or powering an alpha strike led by Glacier Godmaw. While vulnerable to mass sweepers and lacking stack countermagic, the deck possesses resilient draw power, high functional redundancy, and strong independent backup plans.
