Altaïr Ibn-La Ahad budget assassins commander deck by Petermarinus

Format: Commander

Commander: Altaïr Ibn-La'Ahad

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Altair Ibn-La'Ahad commands an aggressive Mardu tribal deck built around Assassin synergy, self-mill, and graveyard exile. The main strategy involves stocking the graveyard with impactful Assassin creatures using looting and self-mill spells, then attacking with Altair to exile them with memory counters. Each attack replicates every exiled Assassin as a tapped and attacking token, creating explosive combat steps. The deck converts these wide swings into lethal damage using enter-the-battlefield anthems like Valor in Akros, double triggers from Isshin, Two Heavens as One, or life-halving hits from Unstoppable Slasher to overrun opponents.
