Deck overview

This Boros deck executes an aggressive Voltron strategy powered by the partner pairing of Rograkh, Son of Rohgahh and Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist. Rograkh enters on Turn 1 for zero mana with built-in evasion keywords: first strike, menace, and trample. Ardenn enters on Turn 3 and bypasses heavy equip costs at the start of combat, immediately attaching powerful tools like Colossus Hammer, Wrecking Ball Arm, and Kaldra Compleat to Rograkh for free. This creates an immediate lethal commander damage clock against the table. While the deck boasts high speed and combat redundancy, it relies on sequential combat attacks to knock players out one by one. Its low land count, tap-land friction, and reliance on keeping commanders on board make it vulnerable to well-timed interaction and sweepers.
