Deck overview

This Izzet artifact midrange deck uses Tony Stark // The Invincible Iron Man to dig for high-impact artifacts and cheat them directly onto the battlefield. Early turns focus on establishing mana acceleration with two-mana rocks and using Tony's front-side activated ability to select the best artifact for the matchup. On Turn 5, Tony transforms into a 5/5 flying haste threat that puts massive permanents like Blightsteel Colossus, Portal to Phyrexia, or Kaldra Compleat into play for free at combat, automatically attaching Equipment. The deck applies lethal pressure through flying commander damage, extra combat triggers from Genji Glove and Hexplate Wallbreaker, and construct token armies generated by Urza, Lord High Artificer and Simulacrum Synthesizer. It defends its engine using efficient counterspells, Deflecting Swat, and asymmetric sweepers like Desynchronization.
