Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck revolves around Sauron, the Dark Lord to generate continuous board presence and immense card advantage. The deck capitalizes on opponent spell casts to amass a massive Orc Army while punishing them with Ring-tempting triggers that repeatedly wheel your hand for fresh resources. You control the pace of the game through targeted removal and board wipes, steadily building an overwhelmingly tall Army or reanimating high-impact threats like The Balrog of Moria and Sauron, Lord of the Rings. Primary paths to victory rely on pushing through unblockable combat damage with The Black Gate or overwhelming opponents with massive trampling armies.
