massimoooooo! by JealousThreads

Format: Commander

Commander: Massimo, the Magician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Massimo is the deck's value engine: it grinds MV1 instants/sorceries out of the graveyard onto each creature, and combat damage converts them into free copies. The primary path is a tempo-spellslinger beatdown-unblockable and hasty creatures carry Ponder, Lightning Bolt, or Boltwave into combat, while Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription multiply every cast as damage. Auxiliary lines use Talrand, Kykar, and Jeskai Ascendancy to make tokens and loot, then finish with Aurelia or Great Train Heist extra combats. There is no hidden commander. The commander is not required to win, but without Massimo the deck slows significantly.
