Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive Commander list built around Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. It seeks to assemble an instant-speed aristocrats combo by leveraging Yawgmoth alongside two creatures with undying (such as Butcher Ghoul, Geralf's Messenger, and Hancock, Ghoulish Mayor) or Nest of Scarabs. Because +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters negate each other, Yawgmoth can continuously sacrifice one undying creature, place a -1/-1 counter on the other to wipe its +1/+1 counter, and repeat the process to draw through the deck while draining opponents out with Blood Artist effects or Geralf's Messenger. Powered by format-defining fast mana, zero-drop creatures, and unrestrictive black tutors, the deck consistently threatens a Turn 2–3 win while keeping creature-based opposing strategies firmly in check via Yawgmoth's repeatable removal.
