Deck overview

Chief of the Wilds leads a Golgari Wolf tribal deck that overwhelms opponents through snowballing combat pressure, token swarms, and doubled triggered abilities. The primary strategy focuses on deploying resilient Wolf and Changeling creatures alongside value-generating Battles, allowing the commander to rapidly accumulate plus two plus two counters while doubling trigger yields from cards like Tovolar's Huntmaster and Hollowhenge Overlord. Secondary paths to victory include commander damage powered by combat modifiers like Power Fist and Level Up, or mass overrun effects from Unnatural Growth and Garruk, Cursed Huntsman. The deck closes games by converting wide token boards and massive menace beaters into lethal attacks across the table.
