Deck overview

This deck develops a creature swarm through Blech, Loafing Pest, life-gain triggers, and landfall token engines. Essence Warden, Eumidian Terrabotanist, Kazandu Nectarpot, and Lifegift turn creature or land entries into life gain, which lets Blech, Loafing Pest grow many creature types at once. Scute Swarm, Springheart Nantuko, Ant Queen, and Hooded Hydra provide bodies. Ramp from Sol Ring, Cultivate, Three Visits, Lotus Cobra, and Sakura-Tribe Elder supports the plan, but the deck has limited tutoring and limited protection. Its strongest ordinary finish is a large board followed by Triumph of the Hordes, usually around turn 10. Bolas's Citadel, Sanguine Bond, and Enduring Tenacity provide powerful alternate value, but they require extra pieces and do not form a supported two-card infinite combo. The deck is strongest when opponents allow its board to grow and weakest against early removal, sweepers, and disruption of its key enchantments.
