Deck overview

This is a Temur Dragon-tribal deck that leans heavily on its commander, Ureni of the Unwritten, to cheat enormous dragons onto the battlefield for free. The core game plan is to accelerate mana with cost-reducers and ramp spells, cast Ureni as early as turn 4-5, then use his repeatable ETB and attack trigger to look at the top eight cards of the library and put a Dragon onto the battlefield. From there, the deck relies on a dense suite of high-power, value-laden dragons such as Terror of the Peaks, Old Gnawbone, and Scourge of the Throne to overwhelm opponents through combat damage, damage-doubling effects, and occasional extra combat steps. A handful of instant-speed removal and counterspells provides modest interaction, while enchantments like Dragon Tempest and Garruk's Uprising turn every dragon into a threat. The deck is a pure battlecruiser - it wins by amassing an unstoppable flying army over a few turns, not by tutoring for a compact combo line.
