Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a potent discard attrition and wheel engine helmed by Kefka, Court Mage. The strategy accelerates on Turns 1 to 2 using an abundant suite of 2-CMC mana rocks, enabling a Turn 4 deployment of Kefka or core discard engines such as Waste Not and Liliana's Caress. On Turn 5, the deck transitions into a lethal threat state by resolving mass discard and wheel effects like Windfall and Dark Deal. These spells trigger severe life drain from Megrim and Raiders' Wake, generate massive mana and creature tokens through Waste Not, and clear opposing battlefields with Archfiend of Ifnir. The deck maintains control using cheap countermagic and targeted removal, and it finishes games by Turn 7 through transformed Kefka combat damage or mass reanimation spells like Breach the Multiverse and Rise of the Dark Realms.
