Teysa's Death & Taxes by GroovyMusubi

Format: Commander

Commander: Teysa Karlov

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a classic Orzhov aristocrats deck helmed by Teysa Karlov, designed to weaponize creature death through doubled trigger abuse. The primary game plan involves generating a steady stream of sacrifice fodder (via tokens and recursive creatures), deploying Teysa to double every death trigger, and draining the table with effects like Bastion of Remembrance, Falkenrath Noble, and Vindictive Vampire. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying instead on incremental life loss, token generation, and recursion to grind out wins. Secondary value comes from Rally the Ancestors for mass reanimation and Sevinne's Reclamation for key permanent recursion. It is a slow, resilient engine that wins through attrition rather than explosive turns.
