Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Grixis midrange strategy centered on Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin. The game plan revolves around leveraging symmetric discard abilities and breaking parity through engines that reward opponents losing cards or life. Early turns focus on establishing mana rocks and foundational payoffs like Waste Not or Geth's Grimoire. Once Kefka enters on Turn 4, each enter-the-battlefield and attack trigger strips resources from opponents while drawing you multiple cards. From this advantage, the deck transitions into a spellslinger burn finish using Coruscation Mage, Black Waltz No. 3, and Displacer Kitten, or closes the game by drawing the library into Laboratory Maniac. Free counterspells, efficient spot removal, and robust reanimation effects provide resilience against board wipes and interaction.
