Deck overview

This deck is a classic Orzhov Aristocrats strategy helmed by Teysa Karlov. The game plan revolves around assembling a durable three-part engine composed of cheap, repeatable token producers like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer, free sacrifice outlets like Viscera Seer and Bartolomé del Presidio, and death-trigger life-drain payoffs like Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. Teysa Karlov sits in the command zone to double every dying creature trigger, accelerating both card draw from sources like Skullclamp and life loss inflicted on opponents. The deck applies steady pressure through continuous attrition, transitioning into a lethal finish via amplified drain bursts, Bloodletter of Aclazotz, or symmetric board wipes like Toxic Deluge and Kaya's Wrath that trigger lethal death cascades. High functional redundancy ensures rapid recovery from board wipes, while an efficient suite of spot removal keeps opposing threats in check throughout the game.
