Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal aggro build commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability from the command zone to turn every low-cost Vampire cast into double the board presence. By curving out with 1-drop, 2-drop, and 3-drop Vampires, the deck builds an aggressive army of 6 to 8 bodies by Turn 4. On Turn 5, it transitions into lethal pressure through tribal lords, drain effects like Sanctum Seeker, or Edgar Markov himself providing mass +1/+1 counters on attack. While the list includes a two-card infinite combo with Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Sanguine Bond, it primarily wins through wide combat steps and aristocrat bleed. Its main challenges are low tutor access, vulnerability to mass creature sweepers, and limited high-impact interaction against opposing noncreature threats.
