Free Spell Jamboree by Papa-Triste

Format: Commander

Commander: Itazura, Lingering Wick

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a high-curve Izzet chaos and theft deck built around Itazura, Lingering Wick. The commander exiles the top three cards each upkeep, forces opponents into a blind bidding war, deals damage equal to the winning bid, lets that opponent cast one exiled card free, and puts another into your hand. The 99 multiplies those upkeep triggers with Paradox Haze, Sphinx of the Second Sun, Shadow of the Second Sun, and The Ninth Doctor, then converts the resulting free spells and card flow into stolen permanents, copied engines, and oversized threats. Primary wins come from combat with beefy stolen or token creatures backed by Gratuitous Violence and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, supplemented by repeated Itazura pings and chaotic free-cast engines such as Creative Technique, Mind's Dilation, and Sunbird's Invocation. The deck plays as a political value engine that slowly buries the table under asymmetric resources rather than a linear combo kill.
