Deck overview

This Abzan deck is helmed by Betor, Ancestor's Voice, turning life fluctuations into an overwhelming engine of board growth and graveyard recursion. The deck leverages efficient life-payment outlets such as Wall of Blood, Doom Whisperer, and Sylvan Library to load the graveyard and fuel Betor's end-step reanimation trigger. Simultaneously, substantial lifegain triggers from lifelink beaters, Children of Korlis, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel place huge numbers of +1/+1 counters onto Betor and other threats. Winning lines pivot between massive evasive commander damage, group drain triggers via Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, and Vizkopa Guildmage, and an infinite life/power combo using Spike Feeder and Light of Promise. With silence effects like Grand Abolisher clearing the way for critical turns, the deck consistently establishes a lethal board state on Turn 5 and closes the game on Turn 6.
