Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul midrange strategy commanded by Kibo, Uktabi Prince. It leverages forced artifact generation and destruction to rapidly scale an Ape and Monkey combat army with +1/+1 counters. Kibo gifts opponents Banana tokens that yield mana and life, turning their reliance on artifact acceleration into direct growth triggers for your tribal board. Dense artifact destruction packages like Vandalblast, Gorilla Shaman, and Silverback Elder actively punish opponents who hoard or crack artifacts, while card draw engines like Viridian Revel turn opposing sacrifices into overwhelming card advantage. The deck transitions into the late game by granting massive Ape beaters trample through Duskshell Crawler and Kodama of the West Tree, overwhelming defensive boards through high-power combat steps. While it lacks rapid combo kills, its attrition and scaling power present a formidable clock.
