Format: Commander

Commander: Hazel of the Rootbloom

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hazel of the Rootbloom pilots a Golgari token engine that turns Food, Treasure, Clue, and Squirrel tokens into mana and then doubles the best token each end step. The primary plan is to chain Squirrel copies with Chitterspitter, Doubling Season, and Chatterfang, then close combat with Coat of Arms, Beastmaster Ascension, or Overrun/Preposterous Proportions. Secondary lines drain or poison with Blood Artist, The Meathook Massacre, Valley Rotcaller, and Bloodroot Apothecary, or assemble infinite Squirrel/Treasure loops with Chatterfang plus Pitiless Plunderer and a sacrifice outlet. Hazel accelerates the plan rather than being the only engine, so the deck has a workable backup without her. There is no hidden commander; the 99 supports Hazel's two token-matters abilities.
