Deck overview

Ruby, Daring Tracker spearheads a hyper-efficient Gruul Food Chain combo deck engineered for competitive speed, redundancy, and resilience. Ruby provides a guaranteed two-mana haste creature in the command zone that accelerates mana, enables legendary payoffs like Mox Amber and Deflecting Swat, and serves as convoke or sacrifice fodder. The primary game plan utilizes green creature tutors to fetch Pia, Aether Ascetic, which searches Food Chain directly to hand. Once deployed alongside Squee, the Immortal or Eternal Scourge, Food Chain produces unbounded creature mana to finish the game on the spot via an infinite Walking Ballista or repeated Etali, Primal Conqueror casts that strip every opponent's library. The list reinforces its combo velocity with dense 0–1 mana acceleration, crushing asymmetric stax pieces like Blood Moon and Hall of Gemstone, and tutorable uncounterability engines including Destiny Spinner and Allosaurus Shepherd. With redundant recovery via Underworld Breach and Shifting Woodland, the deck consistently closes games on Turn 3–4.
