Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Mardu combat and equipment strategy commanded by Isshin, Two Heavens as One. The primary game plan revolves around deploying low-cost equipment and high-yield attack triggers, casting Isshin on curve, and doubling combat-based triggers to rapidly overwhelm the table. Key synergy pieces such as Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Valduk, Keeper of the Flame, and Wand of Orcus generate exponential token swarms, while Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist, Bruenor Battlehammer, and Puresteel Paladin bypass equip costs on high-impact equipment like Colossus Hammer and the Kaldra set. A dedicated Sunforger package provides instant-speed access to targeted removal and protection spells like Boros Charm, while Iroas, God of Victory ensures your attacking board survives combat cleanly. The deck relies primarily on fair combat damage, threatening decisive lethal boards by Turn 5 and closing games by Turn 7 across two response cycles, supported by strong redundancy and resilient equipment reanimation.
