Deck overview

This deck utilizes Codie, Ravenous Codex as a 5-color engine commander to exploit the Prepare mechanic. Whenever you cast a prepared spell from a prepare creature, Codie copies it for free, doubling powerful effects like Ancestral Recall, Demonic Tutor, Seething Song, and Swords to Plowshares. The mana base is highly accelerated through low-cost mana dorks, fetchlands, shocklands, and rainbow fixers. Once Codie and key prepare creatures are assembled around Turn 4, the deck explodes on Turn 5 by chaining copied spells alongside Magecraft engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus. Win conditions center on Kuja, Genome Sorcerer // Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which creates Wizard tokens that double noncreature spell damage to burn the entire table out by Turn 6. While vulnerable to creature removal and exile board wipes, the deck maintains high consistency through deep tutoring and multiple recursion outlets.
