Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mono-Green Stompy strategy commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The central game plan focuses on rapid mana acceleration and deploying aggressively statted, undercosted green creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable. These high-power threats quickly satisfy Ghalta's affinity-like power reduction, enabling a 12/12 trampler to enter the battlefield as early as Turn 4 for just two green mana. A robust suite of power-matters card draw engines, including Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise, refuels the hand as oversized threats enter. Lethality scales rapidly into the mid-game through mass trample enablers, power-doubling from Unnatural Growth, and explosive overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede. While the deck possesses explosive combat velocity and solid independent beaters, it lacks stack-based countermagic and dedicated creature tutors, leaving its engine vulnerable to well-timed sweepers and heavy spot removal.
