Commander: Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant // Phoenix, Warden of Fire

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Joshua, Phoenix's Dominant uses the front face as a looter to stock the graveyard, while the true engine is the back face, Phoenix, Warden of Fire: a five-mana transformation that applies saga burn and turns a stocked graveyard into a mass reanimation turn for artifact creatures. Boros artifact recursion frames it - Goblin Welder, Daretti, Osgir, and Feldon - keep Wurmcoil Engine and other high-end beaters returning. Daretti, Scrap Savant functions as a hidden commander in the 99, duplicating the same rummage-recursion loop. The deck grinds to a board of large artifact creatures and finishes by giving them myriad with Cybermen Squadron.
