Deck overview

This is a Xyris, the Writhing Storm wheel deck that converts opponents’ card draw into a wide Snake board. Its main supported kill uses Xyris, the Writhing Storm, Shared Animosity, and Windfall. With a seven-card hand and 11 mana, Windfall creates 21 Snakes, and the next attack is lethal through Shared Animosity. Ordinary assembly is around turn 7, with the kill on turn 8 because the tokens do not have haste. The deck also has strong alternate payoffs: Impact Tremors, Purphoros, God of the Forge, Terror of the Peaks, Psychosis Crawler, and Goblin Bombardment can convert large wheel events into direct damage. Ramp and fixing are solid, and the interaction suite is useful, but the deck lacks compact tutoring and must expose several expensive permanents before its primary threat appears. Its wheels refill opponents as well as the pilot, so timing and protection matter.
