Etali Gruuled on by user7071015

Format: Commander

Commander: Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Gruul deck is built to turbo out Etali, Primal Conqueror using mana dorks, rituals, and cheap rocks. The front face's enter trigger exiles one nonland from each library and lets you cast those spells for free, creating explosive value and chaining into extra-combat pieces. The deck is ultimately built to use the back face: transform Etali into Primal Sickness and deliver 11 poison counters per hit. Rionya, Fire Dancer acts as a hidden commander by copying Etali at combat, and Food Chain plus Squee/Eternal Scourge provides infinite creature-mana to recast Etali repeatedly. Backup combo lines involving Dualcaster Mage and copy spells, or Kiki-Jiki with Combat Celebrant/Fear of Missing Out, allow wins even without the commander.
