Reanimator by Onnixunut

Format: Commander

Commander: Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a mono-black aristocrats deck built entirely around Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker. The core strategy is to flood the battlefield with cheap, power-1-or-less creatures, then sacrifice them repeatedly with outlets like Viscera Seer and Bloodthrone Vampire. Shirei returns those creatures from the graveyard at each end step, enabling a relentless loop of death triggers. The primary win condition is incremental drain damage from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Secondary plans include generating large mana with Cabal Coffers and Crypt of Agadeem to fuel big Gray Merchant drains, or using Marionette Master with treasure tokens. The deck is slow, grindy, and heavily reliant on its commander to maintain the recursion engine.
