Deck overview

This Simic deck is led by Jolrael, Voice of Zhalfir, combining landfall acceleration, large hand sizes, and aggressive land animation. The game plan focuses on ramping during the first three turns, casting Jolrael on Turn 4, and animating lands into massive flying, hasty creatures whose power and toughness scale with hand size. Each combat connection draws additional cards, creating a self-sustaining draw engine that refuels the player while threatening life totals. Secondary win conditions include creating a 20/20 Marit Lage via Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage, swarming the board with Drake tokens via Alandra, Sky Dreamer, and overwhelming opponents with late-game multipliers like Doppelgang and Doubling Season. The deck defends its board with efficient stack interaction, hexproof granters, and bounce sweepers.
