Deck overview

This deck is a tuned mono-black aristocrats list commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The strategy focuses on sacrificing cheap, self-recurring creatures to generate card advantage, control opposing boards, and drain opponents' life totals. Sephiroth acts as both a draw engine and a life-draining payoff in the command zone. Transforming him into Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel grants a permanent, non-interactable emblem that triggers life loss and life gain whenever any creature dies. The deck controls the battlefield using asymmetric edict effects like Grave Pact and Accursed Marauder, starving opponents of creatures while converting its own deaths into mana and cards. High-synergy finishers such as Tombstone Stairwell, Bolas's Citadel, Torment of Hailfire, and infinite sacrifice loops with Forsaken Miner allow the deck to rapidly close games around Turns 5-6.
