Deck overview

This Esper noncreature-spell deck is helmed by G'raha Tia, Scion Reborn, a value engine that turns every noncreature spell into a massive, scaling token. The core strategy is to chain cheap instants, sorceries, and artifacts to fuel the commander's ability, creating a steadily growing Hero token each turn while deploying a wide token army from payoffs like Monastery Mentor, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Shark Typhoon. An equipment subtheme, centered on Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Puresteel Paladin, lets you suit up your biggest token for card draw, extra combat steps, and protection. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage, mass token production from Champions from Beyond and The Crystal's Chosen, and life-drain synergies with Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim and Exsanguinate. It is a midrange control deck that balances token generation, selective removal, and recursion.
