Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange aggro-aristocrats strategy commanded by Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan. The primary plan leverages low-cost sacrifice fodder like Ichor Wellspring, Servo Schematic, and Nested Shambler to trigger Felothar's ability on entry and attack, distributing +1/+1 counters across your entire board. Counter scalers such as Hardened Scales, Conclave Mentor, and Corpsejack Menace rapidly balloon your creatures into lethal threats, while lords like Abzan Falconer and Duskshell Crawler grant critical evasion. The deck also harbors an infinite combo between Basking Broodscale and Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest that generates infinite mana and infinitely large creatures. While the deck boasts high redundancy and potent combat scaling, its reliance on natural draws without tutors and its vulnerability to exile-based board sweepers define its main operational boundaries.
