Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan toughness-matters aggressive deck commanded by Felothar the Steadfast. It leverages high-toughness, low-power defender creatures to build an impenetrable early defense while generating rapid mana through defenders like Overgrown Battlement and Axebane Guardian. Once Felothar enters the battlefield, it converts these defensive walls into formidable attackers that deal combat damage equal to their toughness. Felothar also provides explosive card draw by sacrificing high-toughness creatures to draw substantial card bursts with minimal discard penalty. The deck breaks parity on board wipes by running asymmetric removal spells such as Slaughter the Strong and Dusk // Dawn, which eliminate high-power opposing creatures while sparing its own low-power army. Evasion enablers like Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Behind the Scenes ensure that attacks connect reliably, allowing the deck to close out games across multiple combat steps.
