Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul mid-range beatdown strategy built around Bello, Bard of the Brambles. Bello turns every non-Equipment artifact and non-Aura enchantment with mana value 4 or greater into an indestructible 4/4 Elemental creature with haste and combat-damage card draw during your turn. The deck accelerates on Turns 1 and 2 with an abundant 15-card ramp package, casts Bello on Turn 3, and begins attacking with animated 4-drops on Turn 4. By Turn 5, damage doublers like Gratuitous Violence and Berserkers' Onslaught scale combat output into lethal territory while continuously refilling your hand. Because animated permanents remain noncreatures during opponents' turns and have indestructible on yours, the board naturally dodges traditional creature sweepers. If Bello is removed, backup bombs like Etali, Primal Conqueror and Ghalta, Primal Hunger maintain high combat pressure.
