Deck overview

Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow supports two complementary plans. The primary competitive route is a compact Demonic Consultation and Thassa's Oracle win, backed by Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, Imperial Seal, Mystical Tutor, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Tainted Pact. Fast mana lets the deck develop ahead of curve, while free counters protect the critical spells. The secondary plan uses one-mana evasive creatures and ninjutsu to deploy Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow and other Ninjas. Each combat hit generates cards and makes every revealed high-mana card damage all opponents. Rhystic Study, Ingenious Infiltrator, and Satoru Umezawa sustain the tempo plan. The deck is highly explosive and interactive, but its combo remains vulnerable to stack interaction, and its combat plan is slower and less deterministic when Thassa's Oracle is unavailable.
