Deck overview

This Sultai X-spell deck is helmed by Zaxara, the Exemplary, who serves as both a mana engine and a token generator. The primary game plan is to ramp aggressively, deploy Zaxara, then use X-cost spells to generate massive Hydra tokens and card advantage while building toward a game-ending Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate. The deck also leverages +1/+1 counter synergies through cards like Corpsejack Menace and Unbound Flourishing to double the value of every X spell. Secondary win conditions include Simic Ascendancy for a counter-based alternate victory and combat damage from enormous Hydras like Kalonian Hydra and Primordial Hydra. The deck is a classic midrange value engine that aims to outpace opponents with raw mana and inevitability.
