Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange control deck led by Vren, the Relentless. Vren provides a persistent asymmetric replacement effect that exiles opposing creatures whenever they die, neutralizing opposing graveyard recursion, death triggers, and Aristocrats strategies. At each end step, Vren rewards you with lethal Relentless Rat tokens scaling with your total Rat count for each opposing creature exiled that turn. The deck supports this attrition plan with efficient removal spells like Fell, Feed the Cycle, and Slaughter Pact, as well as the devastating synergy of Maha, Its Feathers Night. Persistent draw engines such as Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Consecrated Sphinx maintain resource velocity. While the primary win condition focuses on overwhelming opponents with lethal combat damage from giant Rat swarms over two combat cycles, the deck also includes compact backup win conditions in Thassa's Oracle with Demonic Consultation and Exquisite Blood with Sanguine Bond.
