Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos treasure-storm and noncombat-damage engine built around Smaug the Impenetrable. The plan is to ramp hard with rituals and rocks, cast the indestructible haste commander, then deal noncombat damage to him (via Cut Propulsion, Blasphemous Act, Pestilence, Pyrohemia, or pings) to flood the board with Treasures. Those Treasures fuel massive X-spells (Torment of Hailfire, Exsanguinate, Crackle with Power) or ping the table through Reckless Fireweaver and Mayhem Devil. Secondary lines include Underworld Breach storm, combat with an 8/7 flyer, and Pain for All redirection. The deck plays as a fast, interactive midrange-combo list that converts damage into mana and closes through life-drain or burn.
