Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Helmed by Kresh the Bloodbraided, this Jund deck revolves around turning creatures' deaths into an exponentially growing commander, then flinging him-or another huge threat-for massive damage. The primary game plan uses forced-sacrifice creatures (Fleshbag Marauder, Plaguecrafter) and self-sacrifice outlets (Greater Good, Disciple of Bolas) to stack +1/+1 counters on Kresh, while Branching Evolution and Corpsejack Menace double each increment. Once Kresh reaches lethal power (40+), finishers like Chandra's Ignition, Fling, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord convert that power into table-wide damage. Secondary paths include Stalking Vengeance death-trigger damage, The Gitrog, Ravenous Ride combat-value chain, and Rise of the Dark Realms mass reanimation. The deck is a mid-range value engine that builds one gigantic threat and then detonates it.
