Witherbloom in progress by cse2k

Format: Commander

Commander: Witherbloom, the Balancer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari tokens deck focuses on deploying a high volume of small creatures to discount and power up Witherbloom, the Balancer. Once Witherbloom enters the battlefield, its passive ability grants affinity for creatures to all your instant and sorcery spells. A wide board dramatically discounts big mana spells, turning high-cost card draw and massive X spells into nearly free plays. The deck closes games either by draining the entire table at once through an affinity-fueled Torment of Hailfire or Exsanguinate, or by overrunning opponents using large board pumps like Preposterous Proportions and Finale of Devastation.
