Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Rakdos typal aristocrats build commanded by Syrix, Carrier of the Flame. The strategy revolves around loading the graveyard with resilient Phoenix creatures using efficient discard and direct-to-graveyard tutors like Buried Alive and Entomb. Once Syrix enters the battlefield, the recurring movement of Phoenixes leaving the graveyard triggers Syrix's end-step ability to deal direct burn damage equal to its power. Fast mana rocks and cost reducers like Urza's Incubator accelerate deployment, enabling explosive turns where hasty flyers strike in combat while sacrifice outlets like Goblin Bombardment and Phyrexian Altar trigger aristocrat drain via Blood Artist. Multipliers such as Shared Animosity and mass reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding rapidly turn recurring flyers into lethal table-wide clocks. While the deck relies heavily on its graveyard and lacks stack-based countermagic, its natural recursion engines and high-tempo flyers ensure rapid recovery and persistent pressure across every stage of the game.
