Gev Counter Burn!!! by user7666115

Format: Commander

Commander: Gev, Scaled Scorch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos +1/+1 counter and pinging deck helmed by Gev, Scaled Scorch. The primary game plan is to deal incremental damage to opponents early, then leverage Gev's ability to give other creatures additional +1/+1 counters for each opponent who lost life that turn. The deck floods the board with cheap pinging creatures (Pulse Tracker, Vicious Conquistador, Mardu Shadowspear), token generators (Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, Tempt with Vengeance, Song of Totentanz), and ETB damage triggers (Impact Tremors, Goblin Bombardment, Molten Gatekeeper). It aims to overwhelm opponents through combat damage with boosted creatures and repeated pings. Secondary win conditions include Walking Ballista as a mana sink and potential loops with Ruthless Technomancer and Warren Soultrader. The deck has moderate recursion via Whip of Erebos, Agadeem's Awakening, and Ruthless Technomancer.
