Deck overview

The Jolly Balloon Man commands a Boros token-aristocrats strategy designed to duplicate enter-the-battlefield and death-trigger creatures. The deck curves from early mana rocks into a Turn 3 commander deployment, establishing a functional draw and value engine by Turn 4. Once assembled, it clones cantrip creatures like Spirited Companion and Inspiring Overseer for a single mana to maintain steady card flow while deploying group-damage pieces such as Impact Tremors, Purphoros, God of the Forge, and Molten Gatekeeper. These outlets turn every temporary 1/1 flying Balloon into direct damage against the entire table. In the mid-to-late game, multipliers like Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Anointed Procession accelerate the damage clock, while game-enders like Moonshaker Cavalry deliver decisive combat overruns. Backed by versatile spot removal and efficient protection like Clever Concealment, the deck provides an aggressive and consistent midrange plan.
