Deck overview

This Dimir control deck uses Talion, the Kindly Lord to generate massive card advantage and steady life loss whenever opponents cast common 2-mana spells or deploy 2-power creatures. Supported by a robust suite of two-mana artifacts, Talion consistently arrives on turn three or four, immediately drawing cards to fuel your hand. The mid-game transitions into attrition and graveyard value, utilizing recursive threats like Kokusho, the Evening Star and Junji, the Midnight Sky alongside one-mana resurrection tricks like Feign Death and Undying Malice. Massacre Wurm and Polluted Bonds severely punish wide boards and ramp strategies. To close games, the deck leverages repeated drain triggers, flying combat pressure, and a game-ending Exsanguinate or Tidespout Tyrant engine, backed by efficient countermagic and instant-speed removal.
