Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger storm strategy helmed by Veyran, Voice of Duality. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Veyran to double all triggered abilities caused by casting or copying instant and sorcery spells. By pairing Veyran with Magecraft engines such as Storm-Kiln Artist and Archmage Emeritus, the deck generates enormous bursts of mana and cards from low-cost cantrips. This velocity powers game-ending storm turns through Mind's Desire, direct damage pingers like Coruscation Mage and Longshot, Rebel Bowman, or board-flooding token makers like Saheeli, Jewel of Avishkar and Murmuring Mystic. While the deck is capable of explosive single-turn plays, it relies heavily on creature-based engines and requires careful sequencing to protect key permanents from opposing removal.
